I love the winters in NW Washington. They are shitty (but not THAT shitty, usually) and everybody panics and it really makes a fantastic spectacle
plus, if there is enough snow, I can't even leave the house so...that's pretty fun, in it's own way.

Heh, all of the UK shuts down when there is about an inch of snow.
Edinburgh becomes unwalkable because there are no precaution measures at all and everything turns into ice after two days.

Man, I was in Glasgae for Hogmanay last year and it was terrible because the pavements kept thawing during the day and re-freezing at night.
That reminds me that I still need to get some boots. Damn.
