So it appears I am most likely getting a wool peacoat for Christmas. This makes me quite happy.
Also, I have a theory that I would appreciate feedback on. For a while, my girlfriend had me convinced that I really wanted big rubber rainboots (possibly polka-dotted). I still think they are the proverbial "bomb", but I've come to realize they would probably look pretty silly on a guy. The only solution I've been able to come up with is, and stay with me here: cowboy boots.
Now I'm not looking to put on spurs and chaps to go to class (most days). But, aside from their ideal puddle-resistant properties, I feel like some nice cowboy boots under jeans could really add a touch of class to an outfit. Am I delusional?

no. i have a pair i wear with some frequency and i'm pretty sure lunchy does too. just go for the traditional, not the super pointy, the square or the super round toe--those are all gross.
like, this, not this (also note the heel is slanted in the first, not in the second which i don't know if you're going for authenticity or whatever, but slanted serves a purpose when riding) or this (just because super pointy are just as ugly as the wide round toe or whatever the fuck this is. oh, and depending on what you get, know that if your boots are leather soled, like traditional cowboy boots for riding, they are not that great on the ice.

Cowboy boots are one of those things that I think girls can pull off and be cute and adorable, but dudes can't (unless they are cowboys or something). I do not suggest getting some.
