Something Witty:
Yeah, shit, even I don't shop for clothes at walmart.
Disclaimer: I did buy some $9 thermal shirts to wear as undershirts at work from walmart. And an OU football tshirt.
Nodaisho:
They have some decent clothes. Just a lot of bad ones too. And all of the decent ones still don't come in my size.
I was mostly just looking for a plain button-down for when I needed something a bit nicer than a t-shirt, but not fancy.
nekowafer:
I shop at Wal-Mart sometimes. Though their plus size section is terrible. All elastic-waist pants and "capris" that are more like high-waters and it's awful. They did carry some decent jeans for a while, and otherwise I can usually find a couple diamonds in the shit.
I'd like to know who told fat people they could wear tapered pants. Who told anybody, really, but especially fat people. I am attracted to larger people in general and not one would ever look good in tapered pants. Also, elastic waists? What are you trying to do to us?! I'm trying to hide my belly not highlight it for all to see.
Scarychips:
Yeah, the only things I ever bought from wal-mart were thermal shirts at 9$ also. I am an M sometimes going on S, but man, their "S" shirts are really still pretty large.
In other news, I bought some skinny jeans. Another pair of Levi's 510s (the Super Skinny ones). They are pretty great. I also have ried those American Apparel skinnies, and they are incredibly comfy as well. Will probably wait until they go on sale or something. I will not pay 75$ for jeans, unless they are jeans I will wear forever.
tania:
pretty much all of my jeans have been in the $100+ range. i guess it seems hypocritical seeing as i complain about money woes so much but as a person with pretty curvy proportions, i can't actually wear most generic brand jeans because they just don't fit my body type at all - even katie's advice of taking in the waist doesn't seem to work because my butt-to-waist ratio is just too silly and they usually can't accommodate my big calves anyway. the only jeans i have ever owned that have lasted more than a year have been silver brand (specifically, this fit, in black). i bought a pair last year and they're still going strong while pretty much every single other pair seem to to wear out and fade and stretch out and fill with holes and tears within a year. i guess my power butt is just too much for them to handle.
since i managed to nab a pretty well paying teaching assistant position next year, i might actually buy some new jeans! which is good because the aforementioned silver jeans are literally the only pair i have left that are actually in some sort of decent condition. shopping spree, shopping spree
