Mostly I am talking hats for women here. I think we should start a revival of pretty hats; the men have theirs, with their celebrity champions such as Pete Doherty. Where are the women in hats?

My favourite type of headgear at the moment is the fascinator.


But I also like casual summery hats


and posh hats for parties and weddings


Please show me your hats! And I would like to know how to find a pretty hat that doesn't look too OTT or make me look like I'm dressing up in my mother's millinery. Any hat experts in the thread?

I used to wear a lot of big vintage hats in the summer. They're brilliant but a lot of people look silly in them
