I think those outfits have great potential. Zany costumes are the best. I really like the playsuit, especially how the bust looks kinda pin-up girl classic - great cross with the space-material. Some strong accessories would really make them pop.

I wouldn't go over-the-top makeup personally, but you could make something cool and striking work.

I can' think of a situation where that isn't appropriate.
For a casual get together, certainly. If it were something a little nicer, like a birthday party, I'd probably wear something with a collar, but that's just me.

I just bought these things!

This vest!

This blouse!

This blouse!

This jacket!

Also some dark skinny jeans and brown boots.
I am looking for some sort of red scarf to rock for winter.

I like this one but it is perhaps too big?

Tell me I did the right thing. Also suggest ways to accessorise.

I'm looking for a jacket that is black leather but isn't in the punk rock bomber style that it seems most leather jackets (at least in the > $200 price range) are (like the one Cire posted).

No, she means "bomber jacket". The original biker jackets were bomber jackets because the people who mostly rode motorcycles and therefor wore leather jackets were pilots returning from WWII.

RGC, you might look into motorcycle shops and check out some of the new style bike jackets. Like the top one on this page that I can't photobucket with my phone. http://benliles.wordpress.com/2009/03/11/demetri-martin-quote-of-the-week-2/

I am not entirely sure how I will put it on either but I think it will be interesting!

I don't really have anything (that I can think of) that buttons at the back. But with that blouse, I would probably just leave all the buttons done up except the top one or two, so I could just pull it over my head. Then do those top two buttons up.

Fit your form like the casing of a sausage fits the meat, you mean. You can have clothes that fit without being that skinny. I like straight-leg or slightly tapered jeans. Honestly, I wouldn't be able to fit in the jeans I see "fashionable" people wearing. They have absolutely no leg muscle, my calves are almost as big as some of their thighs.

Also, 'skinny' doesn't necessarily mean skin-tight. Sure, there are some stupidly tight jeans out there, that do look pretty dumb a lot of the time, but some skinny jeans still have room to move in them. I have some skinny jeans that I wear a fair bit, and I can bend down in them! They don't take any more effort to put them on than my other jeans! I look good in them! I will probably buy some more skinny jeans when I can afford to and will enjoy wearing them and there's nothing you can do to stop me.

so neener neener neener.

I like skinny jeans I can move in and people don't see every line in. Slim cut is more preferable, but I'll do either. I can't do pants with legs that are too wide or they make my legs look stumpy, which is not cool.

That was my point about the common element, it's not the jeans, it's your perception of them.

In my case, like I said, I can't wear skinny-leg jeans. And I think that they look terrible on a lot of people. And I think I've got a bit of a blue-collar bias with regards to jeans that don't look like they could be beat to hell.

I don't mind slim-fitting ones, but the ones that are skin-tight? They look good on very few people.

And stop posting while I'm trying to reply to the people that posted while I was writing my post.

skinny leg jeans are one of those fashion things where instead of being inherently attractive or unattractive on people they seem to just take whatever is already there and amplify it, so good looking people with good bodies look even more amazing and people like me who are short and have fat butts look even shorter and fatter.
i am therefore obligated to hate skinny jeans, although really i think they look pretty fantastic on a lot of people and am just jealous that i'll never be able to wear them.
