I don't mean "broke as fuck" in a "I don't have any extra money" sense. I mean "broke as fuck" in a "I have $25 to last me two weeks until payday" sense.
That said, I do have a full tank of gas which should last that long, so I suppose I could get a tie instead of food for a day or two.
Which is probably what I'll do.
Also for the record the last wedding I went to the bride was wearing jeans and the husband was wearing cargo shorts. Just sayin'.

man yeah, that is like the cardinal rule of dressing (the being overdressed > being underdressed). there was a comedy festival thing here in town, and after there was an after party at a swanky hotel (with free bar yay) and there were some dudes in black suits and ties and ladies in kinda fancy dresses... and then some people like me in a nice blouse and knee length jorts. my whole crew arrived be-denimed though so it wasn't like i was all by myself in the casual-ness (at least i wasn't wearing a t-shirt) but it was still kind of awkward

Fuck the summer seriously. I get heat stroke very easily and therefore must sacrifice fashion for function.
I don't like to wear dresses very much now that I have ultra short hair, so I mostly have to wear shorts and a tank top all summer and I hate it I want to wear pants and button downs and jeans and tshirts and boots.

I made it through the day easily in jeans with 103F weather.
