Someone lost a pearl earring at my house in the pool yesterday as well! I should give her your number and you could pool (ahem) your resources

I lost one of my pearl earrings in the pool yesterday.
No more jewelery for me.

My dad lost his wedding ring in the hotel pool the morning of my parents' wedding and found it (after a long time searching) just inches from the drain.  Close call!

I think the one thing that's completely clear from these two stories is that we should avoid pools at all costs, because they can potentially destroy marriages, lives, and jewelry.

Man speaking of jewelery here is a poorly designed necklace I picked up from a store in Northampton.  It is in actuality a cursive- actually, I'll just let you all judge for yourself.  I have my beautiful roommate modeling because with this lighting you can hardly see it against my heaving bosoms

Bought it on 90% discount.  What do I wear it with, besides EVERYTHING

I'm guessing that's a V or a U, but obviously whoever designed that likes dongs more than Vs and Us.

It was the only one left and in large quantity.  Wonder why?

It took my a good hard look at the package to actually figure out what it was.  The letter V on the outside was a big help.

EDIT: Honestly, though, I'm not sure what to wear with brassy-colored jewelery.  I have never thought think it looked good on my piss-poor complexion or with my clothing choices.  I'm here for help with the latter, obviously.  I'm very serious about my dicklace purchase.

Brassy jewelry works the same as copper tones and bright gold. It looks best with autumn-y tones like browns, oranges, and deep reds, but you can pull it off with other colours, so long as you don't bring too many into the mix and the tones you are wearing are rich. No pastels.

I'm a bit shaky on jewelery/clothing matches in general.  Is that a rule only for the articles of clothing that the jewelery comes into contact with?  I'm wearing a skirt that my brother once described as "something Mork would wear," as well as, of course, the dicklace. However, the jewelery itself is resting against a cool-gray scarf and a black sweater and my boobs, which I think doesn't look too terrible.

Well, as long as your clothing is coordinated, and then your jewelry complements some of your clothes, I think it will be fine.

You can probably go for the opposite colors too, like blues and purples. To be honest, most of my jewelery is either bright shiny silver or a dull pewter color so it's a little easier to match up.

Skin tone affects the metals that look good on you!  People of color look great in the full spectrum of gold through white gold, whereas people who are so pale they are almost transparent tend to look better in silver/white gold/platinum.  Not a hard and fast rule by any stretch, but a decent rule of thumb.

I need to work on ways to work "dicklace" into a sentence.

Dear Fashion Advice Thread, I have found my new favorite fashion blog and it is written by a 13 year old. A 13 year old who is way cooler and funnier than I could ever hope to be. Also she totally does have really interesting style, and though I'm not sure the tshirts as skirt thing will catch on, she rocks it hard. Yay Tavi! How this little girl is not some fashion designer's muse by now is beyond me.

Oh oh oh and she's kind of sponsored by Target kind of, and other people are talking about how totally exploitative and whatever, and I'm not discussing on that but one dude is all
Quote
...I mean I like her... But this is ridiculous. She’s 13 and talking about Harold and Maude and Bonnie and Clyde as if they’re films that she knows about. Harold and Maude! A film about a guy who goes to funerals for fun and acts out fake suicides and then falls in love with an 80 year old woman. And the reason we’re listening to a 13 year old girl reference these films is because of marketing people at Target.
Yes because no 13 year old can like old and incredibly awesome movies. She is also obsessed with Kim Gordon. She talks and writes in a tone similar to those she likes, like Margot Tenenbaum and Enid from Ghost World and Daria. Maybe I am reading that quote wrong and he's not saying Target fed her Good Taste (TM) and is instead saying the only reason people are paying attention to her now is because of Target supporting her. I dunno old cynical dude, seems like that 13 year old and myself have kind of a lot in common.

I am pretty sure I was her age when I saw Harold and Maude for the first time and I love that movie. So um that dude has no idea what he's talking about. Also her blog is kind of fun! This made me laugh:

But not the erection they are all sporting.

I just spent a day laughing at a thread on Something Awful called "Let's Photoshop faces and arms on to dicks." Models (probably fake)boners don't bother me. Vice did do a whole documentary on The Watermelon Woman so I guess I don't mind the dudes kinda getting the same treatment.

And Vice has a whole "Dos and Don'ts" section where they basically talk about whether they'd have sex with the person or not. Looking for morals from a place like that is a little silly.

I actually did know this! I'm dating my sister's best friend, and I guess they are thrilled about how stores are carrying wider selections these days. The conversation got sort of awkward (but hilarious) for a second when I commented that I thought my girlfriend wore a cup size smaller than what she mentioned.* My sister gave me the most amazing "Dude, I don't need to know how much you know about her boobs," face ever, which is kinda funny considering that my sister was the one who brought up the subject of bras and had sort of barged in on us to begin with.

*Apparently I woulda been right as recently as a few months ago though. I guess word got out somehow that a lot of women wear bras that have more strap than they need but not enough cup, and my gf was one of them.

Veering away from boner fashion shoots for a tiny bit, what's the consensus on this hat?

It's supposed to be a baggy/slouchy hat (most likely not for me, but for an 18 year old boy, if he likes it), but I've never made one before, and I feel like this looks really weird in the back. Am I right? I'm considering ripping it up and changing it, but I'm not sure what exactly I'd do to make it better. And it might change with use, so, eh, I dunno.

(Slightly diffferent shot)

I think it would be more aesthetic to just carry a large sign that says: "I am carrying weed and if I like you I may sell you some."  Of course, as a late twenties guy, my opinion on this actually less than worthless.  Like, my disdain is actually a reason to wear the hat....

Weed is, uhm, a lot less prevalent here than over there, so I sort of don't think that would be anyone's first thought, but duly noted.

(Baggy hats are apparently kind of fashionable among younger people right now? I sort of just use this one, which isn't baggy at all, but almost everyone I see a few years younger than me wear baggy hats.)

Ah I didn't check your profile and see that you're in Norway.  Yes, I suppose that as long as you aren't wearing something that implies church burning, you're doing alright.  (Sorry.)

In my late teens I was wearing an oversized quilted coat and waiting for the bus in Montreal.  A bunch of kids came up to me and asked me to sell them weed.  I said I didn't have any.  The response, and I quote:  "Then you shouldn't fucking wear that coat."
