The fact that he died is the only reason he was ever popular. That and the famous father.

True, death always helps a career along, but he has a voice that could melt the ice caps, and that's what he deserves recognition for...that's only my opinion and I don't believe everyone should love him simply because I do, I just get wound up when people go 'oh, that guy who drowned' and not 'oh, that guy with the great voice'...
Bleh. And I'm listening to Oasis, again, as it's on the telly, and at this point I feel the need to state that I REALLY FUCKING HATE OASIS but can't be arsed to mute it.
