My thoughts exactly.  I'm sure plenty of humans (myself included) have wanted brain bleach at points, but a robot can actually do it.  Plus there are probably temporary files and such that get cleared regularly, so I don't see how getting rid of one awkward conversation in short-term memory is any different than doing just that.
