It is possible, but the storyline is probably something like this:

* Marten wakes up on Sunday morning, and is swiftly kicked out by Delilah. He has no change of clothes, and little or no time in the bathroom.
* He walks over to Steve and Cosette to whine.
* Meanwhile, we have the Dale/Marigold intermezzo. As this takes place over the timespan of approx 24 hours, there might be parallel timelines. Dale probably arrives Saturday evening (same time as Delilah's party), and the pancake event happens at about the same time Marten is kicked out from Delilah's house.
* Marten has now left Steve and Cosette, and walked over to CoD to whine a little bit more. It is still Sunday, still quite early in the day, and Faye has just opened shop. No other customers there yet.
* Therefore, Marten has had no time to take a shower or change clothes. To quote Faye, he is ripe by now.

Quite a downer for Valentine's day!

Loki:
Honestly, as a GSP* I appreciate the comic exactly because of that.

Because a GSP hates Valentine's Day? As a HMP*, but still remembering my GSP days, I can sympatize. Still, I think it is wrong that Jeph is not celebrating the day in some way. Marten at CoD could have waited until Monday (or until eternity for all I care, I am sick of his whining).
