Heh, now I'm reminded of one of the "better" cheap beers here. 5,0 Original. That's basically not even a name, they just tell you that it's 5.0% alcohol.

I don't have any experience with fancy beers. The only fancy beers I've ever seen here are from Braufactum.  Normally I just fo for Flensburger Pilsener or Flensburger Dunkel. Nice and refreshingly bitter.

I think you're underestimating him. ;)

To be a bit more serious, his behaviour is a long long way from the most obnoxious I have encountered.

according to this thread Jimbo is a worldly traveler who is also a successful writer?

is this comic supposed to imply that he has recently suffered some form of brain damage

There is and there is. It varies by nation and region of course, and it also depends on how you define "well", the shittest thing behind the bar? Well some bars actually serve Pabst or Natty to actual people!

Depending on the bar, that could range from paint-thinner to something drinkable.  Living in a university town, I'm surprised at the number of trust fund kids coming in and drinking cheap PBR at places with over 40 beers and an entire (long) shelf of single-malt.  I assume it's just because they're aiming at maximal intoxication for minimal outlay.

--- Quote --- I know it's shocking but they do it! Ditto Corona, I don't know what the fuck is in the water in Mexico that gets into people's brains and makes them think that bottled cat piss is anything but actual...
--- End quote ---
It's well-marketed.  The times I have seen anyone who is actually *from* Mexico drink that stuff are countable with my shoes on.

--- Quote ---Asahi! A Japanese Dry Lager that is both yellow and delicious.

--- End quote ---
It's not bad, and I do get it sometimes, but I'll stick with ales, meself.

Despite my pedigree, I am staying out of this discussion due to my lack of enjoyment of beer.

However, I would like to point out I live in the Beer Capital of the United States.
