St.Clair:
I'm guessing that (after, or while, they clean Marten up) he finds the most tactless way possible to bring up Angus' gig, Faye's reaction, etc etc. Possibly under the delusion that he's "helping" by getting it all out in the open. (Along with his stomach contents.)
Akima:
Jeph said "Do you speaka my language?", I just smiled and gave him a Vegemite sandwich.

That. But there's also another reason why she goes into work a bit early. - http://questionablecontent.net/view.php?comic=1719

My first guess about the Friday cartoon that we'll hate was exactly that - an anti-climax of some sort.
The suggestion of a cliff-hanger is a good one too.
Outrageous behaviour or dramatic showdown between current protagonists, though it looks like the way things could be heading, is not exactly "you are going to hate this" material.
Surely it'll be something unexpected. Or a Yelling Bird filler. That would be annoying.
Or a horrible pun...
WAYF:
I legitimately love Down Under by Men at Work as a song.
And I don't mind people judging me for that.
It also means that I appreciate Angus's joke slightly more. :P
