The post says 'do not.' But I am reading 'DOOOOOOO'.

I am reading "Aren't you at your work computer, Gareth?"

--- End quote ---

Time for a 'toilet break.'

More like time the mods move this to the TMI thread...

Thanks. Truly, the God Administrator title is well-earned.

Eh. He makes those up himself, you know.

--- Quote from: aphanisis81 on 01 Apr 2014, 06:01 ---So is there some trick to inserting commentary into different parts of a quoted post without making it look like said commentary is part of said original post?

--- End quote ---
Remember that quote tags come in nested pairs and when you break a pair to insert a comment you have to remake it after.

Barmymoo:
To make it even clearer, you put the quote tage {quote}except it has square brackets not curly{/quote} around the stuff you didn't write. So if you're breaking a sentence to add your stuff, put {/quote}, add your stuff, and then put {quote} to restart the quoting.

pwhodges:
You can write instructions about using tags by enclosing them in [nobbc]...[/nobbc] tags.

Note that as it is not logically possible to put the [/nobbc] tag inside them (as it closes the first), I have used a different technique for that, which you can see by quoting this message.
