This thread is non-euclidean, for it has no point

Two facts:
1. Nudity is, or should be normal.
2. Reading IS sexy. Whether you read nude or in a floor length coat.
and a reminder:
--- Quote ---"We need to make books cool again. If you go home with somebody and they don’t have books, don’t fuck them. Don’t let them explore you until they’ve explored the secret universes of books. Don’t let them connect with you until they’ve walked between the lines on the pages."
-John Waters
--- End quote ---
I know we have a what are you reading thread, but I'm curious, how many of you have libraries? How many of you own hard copy books, if you do how many do you own? Show us a photo of your books?
BeoPuppy:
I own books. For me this whole e-reader thing is newfangled madness. Right up to the moment they invent an e-reader that can hold thousands of books and allows me to scan the bar codes of the books I already own for a free download of that book.
Several hundred books, I guess? 300? 400? 500? Not entirely sure. I guess me and the girl together might touch a thousand.
Neko_Ali:
pffft. Everyone knows that bottle caps are the preferred currency of 9 out of 10 post-apocalyptic societies.
I really like my tablet/e-reader. It is very convenient to have dozens to hundreds of books at hand at any given moment. Especially as a gamer, it's nice to be able to carry my library with me when I don't know which game I may be playing any given day, instead of carrying around a second crate of books. But I'll never give up real paper books either. There is a primal joy and sensation of holding a real book in your hands that an e-reader just doesn't satisfy. And you don't have to recharge your books...
lepetitfromage:
I probably have about....100? 200? Not sure. A full 6 foot tall, 3 foot wide bookcase full.
celticgeek:
We have several hundred books, ranging from "ancient" textbooks (meaning ones I used in my undergraduate days) to recent best sellers. I also have several hundred CDs of music (all ripped to my computer), and a couple of hundred DVDs.
Neither my wife or I use any sort of e-reader.
I think that this means I am some sort of Luddite hoarder.
