How far do you think the intro to "Who are you" by The Who was influenced by hiphop?
I think it's an incredibly hip-hop intro.
By accident or on purpose? :)

Townsend's influences at the time were pushing more towards disco (no, really) and punk than hip-hop to my knowledge. He was trying to be a bit more boundary-free with his work but I'm not sure if hip-hop was on his radar by then.

Working for 4 commercial radio stations sure has upped my suicidal ideation. But mostly I think humanity has run its course and I hope space hippos show up and crush us all to def.
