Well I'm now donating via Patreon, so I guess that's better. Also I just hovered over "Flattr" and apparently it's a social network as well, "show that you support creators".
Masterpiece:
"...by giving them donations". It's just the same thing with a different name and without the benefits, so we are somewhat getting screwed over.
Method of Madness:
Then switch to Patreon.
Masterpiece:
It's not that easy. You have to deposit money to your Flattr account upfront which is then distributed monthly. I'm subscribed to paying Jeph 10 Euros per Month for another ten months and am getting literally zero value in return whereas Patreon customers are happily enjoying the benefits of never having used Flattr in the first place.
Method of Madness:
Oh wow. That's really generous. There's no way you can get that money back?
