They are actually firing AWAY from us, but those are HUGE mortar rounds.
I can clearly hear them launching from the tubes: sounds like 10 ga. shotguns...
bwhop. bwhop. bwhop.
and then...
then..
Wha.a..m!! Wha.a..m!! Wha.a..m!!
about 6-9 seconds between launch and impact.

fuck.
