The "seven heavens" thing changed towards the latter end of AD&D 2nd ed, when they rebranded their cosmology for the Planescape setting.  But yeah, they were canon ever since ancient times, and the beginnings of the game.

Hee hee... If the world is a D&D campaign, I suppose I rolled up a Monk:

I must have rolled bard, since I feel useless most of the time.

I wish I had the time and a decent group to play again.

I'm currently making a half-arsed attempt to do some writing for the game that I'm running on Tuesday.  I should have started some time *last* week.
