I thought so too, but apparently, not everyone agrees.
I thought "fictive" was a made up Tumblr word, but according to my dictionaries it's been in use since the 17th century.

Explosive welding doesn't actually need that much High Ex, and in commercial application it's not really for steel, Explosive welding and it's close cousin Friction Welding (Wherein you take two pieces of material, spin one really quickly, hold the other still and introduce A to B.) is used to merge materials that don't normally play or weld well together.
