I'm pretty sure Emily is winding Sam up. Emily totally 'blivved out* when Tai suggested she sleep with Marten.

I'm all for the theory she is just speaking her mind, not really noticing whats going on. AGAIN.

I have a feeling that Emily is essentially asexual, but that's not canon so who knows? Certainly I don't think there's the faintest possibility of her and Marten getting together.

IMHO there is always a possibility (albeit a very small one) until either she or Marten is hooked up with someone else.
