Detachable Felix:
I've only been here half a year and I've already grown quite fond of you, man. You'll be missed by all of us. Best of luck with your retirement  :-)

jwhouk:
Oh, crud, this means I move up on the seniority list, doesn't it?

Paul: retirement is fun. Planning isn't. Hope all goes well with you.

This doesn't have anything to do with wife's job seeking in South Africa, does it?

ankhtahr:
I will repeat what I've said in the blog thread recently: You're one of the most, if not the most interesting person I've met. Your experiences and stories are always great to hear and always make me learn new, very interesting things. You inspire me. That being said, I'll be sad when you're gone, but nevertheless I wish you the best of luck for your future. I'd love to hear from you every once in a while, even if you don't come here regularly anymore

celticgeek:
Sorry to hear that, Paul,  You have brought a goodly measure of wisdom and erudition to this forum, which I am going to miss.
The very best of luck in your future endeavors.

Be sure to come back and visit whenever you can.

I drink to your health with a glass of Jura Prophecy!  Iechyd da!

And congratulations to Is It Cold In Here.

I don't retire from my employment for two years more; but I have a scheme for earning income after that that requires work on it to start now.

No.  This decision was made before that possibility came up.  If that goes ahead, everything goes in the melting pot - exciting, but kinda scary.
