Barmymoo:
I don't really see why this is crazy drama between them though - all Dora needs to say is "I've decided not to spend time with my brother any more because I don't like who he has become and I don't like who he makes me into". Then Tai would go "ok, I'll support you, let me know if you want to talk about it".

Yeah, absolutely. Also, Bermymoo is right, I mean what would Tai do? Be nice?

Although, I've had a partner keep things from me (temporarily, but serious stuff) which made me furious. They had a similar reason - one drama-free place in their life that wouldn't want to talk about the stuff that happened. Still pissed me off to no end, because if they didn't want to talk about it they could have just told me.

Yes, that is how a mature, reasonable adult would handle it. But since when is QC about mature, reasonable adults? (Besides Momo, I mean.)

sitnspin:
I agree it is nothing major, hiding is more drana-inducing than the subject itself. Secrets don't prevent drama, they only delay a and intensify it.

Barmymoo:
I am hoping that the upshot of this will be that when it all comes out, Tai reacts maturely and sensibly and the relationship survives. Dora can learn a lot from something not going down in flames.
