Claire would be a rather different story in that regard. It'd be tearable puns that he'd have to worry about, not mice.

I would also imagine that Marten wouldn't want to deal with the complication of having an intern with a crush working for him. Tai might make light of it, but rules like that exist for a reason and for all his faults regarding personal drive, Marten is a decent guy and not going to put anyone in that position.
