So ... she's not a complete woman yet   :-D

--- End quote ---

Hi! I realize this was said in jest, but your statement is problematic on at least two levels. First and most importantly, it's not right to joke about Claire not being a "real woman", which I think you'll understand if you think about how much crap transpersons have to put up with of that kind. She's a real woman if she says she is.  Additionally,  it's sexist, which I think you can see if you think about it. I think this forum is a place where jokes of this kind are discouraged, because, when you think about i,  they're not funny - - they're expressions of pretty tragic social problems. Just my 2c, anyone who has a better more informative comment is welcome to weigh in.

Wait until Marten shows up to work one day in the pink princess dress...

Well he does look good in a corset....

Also Doc, please don't get offended or defensive or anything. From us to you, it's about being helpful and informative. From you to us, it's about being courteous and polite (and helpful too, I guess?). Being PC has nothing to do with us (if I may quote my most favourite XKCD comic: "FUCK. THAT. SHIT."), but we do appreciate politeness.

The flannel shirt would have made her an instant friend with Jimbo. But I agree with Claire, except on the jeans (cargo pants, yo! Seriously, they have pockets EVERYWHERE! You can carry stuff!).

Barmymoo:
I hate fashion, and almost always wear clothes based on their practicality, comfort and whether they manage to avoid being horribly clashing in pattern and colour, in order of importance. This in no way reflects on my gender.

I like the fact that the "looks good in a corset" strip features Marten in the TEH shirt.

ZoeB:
Doc - joke misfired. No big deal.

One thing (being serious, educational now). You know transition's complete when you go with what *you* want, not what society expects. For some that's lace, frills, makeup, for others stone butch, for others goth, there are as many ways of being a woman as there are women.

That may be true of guys too, I don't know.
