I find removing my glasses to facepalm adds additional weight to the facepalm.

Oh, and I've been known to remove my glasses and then proceed to do a double facepalm for epic levels of facepalm. But, if it's a minor facepalm, I'll foreheadpalm instead.

Since my hairline has receded almost to my collar, I find a top of the scalp palm that then slides down over the face very effective.
