I dunno, so far the whole thing feels like a dream sequence to me. It starts out with him running frantically down a road through a forest, with nothing visibly following him, then he finds a huge wind turbine with a person on top, he waves frantically at the person, she starts to come down by rope but the rope snaps, he looks away, and after he hears the impact he looks up and she's safe and sound on the ground.
Doesn't that sound like a dream/nightmare? You feel like you're being chased by something but you don't know what, you see oddly surreal things, and the laws of physics are defied... Feels like a dream to me, anyway. We'll see.

Okay, in light of the new comic, it makes sense that she has unusual abilities.
Now, about that blue fellow, the bets are open: ET, fairy, extradimentional being?
