Currently playing a game as the Mongolians on King Difficulty. It started out really well, found two ruins giving me technologies, but somewhere I must have taken a wrong turn because I'm really behind now. Got beaten to building a world wonder by one round twice. So frustrating.

Beyond Earth looks great. Probably not going to get it till the new year though... I honestly didn't pay for my copy of Civ V I wrote a review and some tactics articles for an online gaming magazine and they hooked me up with a free copy.

I've currently playing as Arabia on Prince difficulty. I'm doing pretty well with a culture/faith kind of build, but I'm stuck on a smallish continent with Russia, which has already wiped out the Japanese and is making eyes at all the city-states. I'm desperately trying to research Astronomy so I can escape and contact the rest of the world.
