It's not uncommon to see the Denny Carr statue dressed up along Spadina Crescent.
Once in a while, a practical joker will slip a sweatshirt over the statue dedicated to the long-time Saskatoon radio personality and community volunteer. Other days, a T-shirt or muscle shirt is placed over the statue, which is in a runner's pose because Carr was an avid jogger.
But today, the statue got its most elaborate makeover for Halloween. Someone transformed the statue into Optimus Prime, a character from the Transformers franchise of films, cartoons and toys.

Silver mail (knitted from silver yarn), blue surcote with Gird's crescent and cudgel on the front, grey cloak. Top it off by belting on a sword. Nothing that special.

Ok, it seems like both masks are scaring the small kids equally, but the dads seem to like the welding helmet, I can hear them saying "Whoa" approvingly all the way from the sidewalk.
