You guys do know about jwhouk's "QC strip x strip" document, right?  It exists in teh wiki in a condensed form, but the long version is an invaluable resource for locating strips!  I download an updated version every year or two.

Yeah, here it is.   I think there's a link to it in JW's signature, too.  Looks like he's a bit behind, it's only up to about 2500. 

Not bad for an unpaid second job though...

EDIT: I've updated the links to the Cast List and the Strip-by-Strip archives to my Google Drive copies (both are Word docs, but can be read on Google Docs).

You can use ohnorobot to search through comic transcripts. By the looks of it transcripts have only been done for the first 1747 strips, so slightly limited.

Edit: First 1290 strips rather than 1747...
