"Vanilla" is a slang term that refers to creatures with no rules text (e.g. Scathe Zombies).
"French vanilla" refers to creatures that only have keyword abilities (e.g. Akrasan Squire).

I can't really call it from day 1, although I have to say that out of the three interns if something did happen I would have preferred it to have be Claire. She seemed the most interesting out of the bunch (2207 and 2208). I took a two year hiatus from reading the comic so I missed all the build up, but I guess I would have thought it was something that Jeph was going to continue to troll the readers with (he only did it for about 1 and half years, but still...).
I think for next weeks poll it should be what turkey twist is going to happen.
