On it's ninth birthday Willis announced he would end Shortpacked! on its tenths. That was the 17th. So he posted the last strip of Shortpacked!, which was the last remaining active comic set in the now over seventeen year old Walkyverse, yesterday. Now he only writes DoA.
It all started with Roomies!, then there was It's Walky! and at the end there was Shortpacked!. And Joyce & Walky somewhere in between, parallel to the beginning of Shortpacked!
Method of Madness:
So is Walky more important in other comics? I mean he's a major character in DoA but he's hardly the main character. (If I had to consider anyone the main character I'd pick Joyce but it seems to be an ensemble)

He was pretty central in It's Walky and Joyce and Walky of course. He was originally kind of the author/reader surrogate character. Not unlike Marten in QC.
Method of Madness:
I like Dumbing of Age but I don't know if I want to read any other comics with these characters.
