Yet that's the only other option... Sad.

There has to be a third option. It won't be easy, but she'll probably have to go off on her own at some point. I can't see her going home.

Neko_Ali:
I had honestly not even thought that about Carla, even knowing her history in the greater Walkyverse as Ultracar. It does make sense of things I never really thought that much about before though.

BenRG:
One option for Becky that occurs to me is for Joyce to try to try to convince Becky's dad to let her transfer to the college (is it Indiana State?). Say that she would 'keep an eye' on her (which she would - no guarantees about outcomes, of course). If he cares about his daughter at all, Becky's father is probably frantic at her disappearance and, for the benefits of her not ending up homeless and worse, I think that he would be willing to leave her in Joyce's care.

That Joyce has no intention of 'curing' Becky or whatever doesn't need to be discussed. In any case I'm pretty sure that Joyce and her parents would likely be very dogmatic that any changes Becky makes to her lifestyle must be those she makes of her own free will or they would be worthless pretences.

However, thinking about it, I'm pretty sure that Becky's dad will track her down sooner rather than later (it doesn't take a genius to work out that she'd run to Joyce). At lot then depends on what nearly losing her to an uncertain fate because she was frightened of him does for his viewpoint. It is even possible that he'll let her re-enrol in her original college rather than risk a breach in what is left of his family.

At least, I hope that he tracks her down and cares enough about her future to care what happens next. The alternative is just too depressing for words. Although Becky ending up effectively a ward of the Browns would probably make decisions about her future easier, it is tragedy that I don't think any reasonable person would want to see happen.

Kugai:
I don't think Beckys father is capable of change - he strikes me as one of those right wing religious nutjobs that simply ignore or twist the truth no matter what you say or do.

Going to Leslie might be the best idea at this point.

Holy shit, yes.

She'd know what to do, how to help, in an actual way, most likely.
