--- Quote from: Endellion on 07 Mar 2015, 08:59 ---Don't worry, I'm sure the Dentrassis will let you hitch a lift on one of the Constructor ships, but watch out for their cooking. They really hate the Vogons.

--- End quote ---

What ae you talking about? The Dentrassi are the BEST cooks and the BEST drink mixers and they don't give a wet slap about anything else! (At least in the edition I read)

Look, just don't panic! Got a towel on you?

--- End quote ---

Oh I didn't say they can't cook, they just don't want to on a Vogon ship (tv series, I saw that before reading the book so it might have been something new they added in there https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tTNuldPhP20 23 mins in)

And of course I've got my towel. If you want to survive in the universe, you've got to know where your towel is.

ReindeerFlotilla:
The Guide is more than just a 5 book trilogy. It is a creative concept. Adams did a lot of versions--Books, radio, TV, and he did things bit different each time.

That probably seems trivial, but I think it interesting because (excluding the American film) Adams was usually the author. It's like his goal wasn't purity of presentation, but "what would be funny right here."

I'm sure you've all got your towels, and know that if you ever find yourself thrown at the ground, it's best to try to miss, so I'll leave you with a bit that's a tad more obscure, but equally important IMO: Don't look to deeply into anyone else's eyes. You never know how far from home they are. (Related; avoid an accurate sense of perspective at all costs.)

hedgie:
My sense of perspective is perfect.  I'm the most important thing in the universe.

You left through the wrong door again.

Also remember that if you can't see the Beast, it thinks it can't see you.
