It can really sometimes feel like a tiny bit of hope can be crushed so quickly by the reality around it.

I feel that, old friend.

On one hand, I started my new job. On the other hand, my girlfriend and I broke up. Almost made it 2 years, our anniversary would have been next month. Weirdly enough, we're still probably going to live together because... well, why would I want to live with anyone else? We still love each other dearly, we just... aren't romantically in love.

Thrillho:
That fucking sucks, man. Sounds like a mature approach to the breakup at least. Are you guys locked into a housing contract?

Patrick:
By law, no, but it just makes more sense to. Me and our roommate are the only ones with income due to her inability to work in a typical job (chronic illness, may have mentioned before? I forget), but she does some office work for him and she also maintains the house to the best of her ability. Her pain is debilitating for her at times, but none of us complain about/fail to appreciate her contribution. I just wish it didn't get in the way of her enjoying more of what life has to offer. And obviously, none of that is why we broke up.

Thrillho:
Jesus Christ Pat the maturity level in that post is just goddamn sickening

Do you remember we used to be on this forum when we were still CHILDREN for fuck's sake?
