I dunno, what about non-AI robots?

Given what we know about AIs in QC, I'm sure that the fighters are all volunteers who like it!

--- Quote from: BenRG on 24 Jun 2015, 23:13 ---Okay maybe this is me or... I think that we can be sure that Jeph is reading this forum. Why? Because today's strip more-or-less summarises all the debates we've been having on the subject of Faye's new job. I take that as a tip-of-the-hat to us. It will be interesting to see where Jeph takes that thread.

Nah, more likely Jeph realized that Faye's job opportunities are limited to either a pre-existing business, or some kind of independent setup using Faye's art.  You had a good idea several weeks back with that auto-body shop (you'll have to link to it, because I can't remember when/where it was posted), but at this point in the game, establishing a new location and staffing it with a large cast of new characters would probably slow down the pace of the comic even more.  The Secret Bakery works because it's already been established, and even if we don't get to spend much time with Renee and the other employees, Sam and Jim and Veronica already have a place in the story.

Yeah, that's a nice 180-degree turn from my earlier comment, but I'm sticking to it.  For now.

I'm struggling to think of a single one, to be honest.

Given that they're AIs, they can probably make their pain sensors cause pleasure instead.  They might even get off on it.
