Other possible advantages:

* Best man Marten;
* The CoD girls as bridesmaids and Dora as Matron of Honour;
* Endless accident-prone Cosette hijinx;
* Claire bonding with other girls outside of her fairly narrow current circle and maybe ending up as part of the bridal party;
* Jeph deliberately creating a cliffhanger about who catches the bouquet.

Method of Madness:
Wait, why would Dora be Maid of Honor? That doesn't make sense for Cosette or Veronica.
