It would be a Prisoners' Dilemma situation: if nobody pays anything, it doesn't get made and nobody receives it. If I pay and you don't, it gets made and you receive it. If we both pay, we both lose money, but at least we don't get Prolapse Monthly.

Only if they're things you would normally be able to send me. Otherwise, you have to stop other people from sending me those things, which could be a fair amount of work.  :-P
