Precisely; I'm expecting her to have to query others to determine what, if any significance can be found in this. This leads to plenty of opportunity for comedic misunderstanding based on misread signals. Hopefully, she'll ask someone with a relatively stable brain (i.e. Marten) who will tell her that it's just a thank you gift, not some kind of bizarre mating ritual like those of some cuter animals.

Several years ago now, when I still worked in construction, I was working on a deck, and was using a miter saw to chop some of the boards to length.
Anyway, I stopped to take a short break, pushed my safety goggles up to wipe my face and was getting a drink of gatorade. Someone else, about a dozen feet away, was nailing up some railing. The wood was a bit hard and bouncy. He hit the nail a bit off perfect and it rebounded backwards, flew the four yards through the air, and struck me directly in the eye.
I had to have surgery on it 4 times, was out of work for nearly half a year, and I still can see nothing more than a large blur on that side.
SAFETY GUYS. ITS IMPORTANT.
