Click on the strip itself and Tumblr takes you to the actual art page with a unique permanent URL.

When I do that, I get http://www.alicegrove.com/image/110592245349 . A permanent link, I suppose, but nothing like what cesium133 posted.

Just remove "image/".

There's a little gray link that looks like a chain link below the image. It's easy to miss with the color scheme Jeph is using on it.
