...dude. Superman. That's an extreme example, but they're equally fictional. So why is it silly to assume Alice is a metahuman of some capacity?

I'm trying to avoid invoking the argument that "It's magic, we don't have to explain shit". For all Jeph has been invoking a lot of Clarke-tech, it has managed to remain semi-plausible to date.

Method of Madness:
Dude, sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable yadda yadda. So is handwaving it as "nanotech" any less absurd than "she's naturally powerful"?
