Okay, i will concede this point. You have found one positive thing to say about slipknot.

I was a little disappointed with the new album...Sone Sour pretty much sucked.

And I like what I like. I don't make personal attacks on you because of what you like and dislike.

Also, I never really could stand metal. Slayer, CoF and SKT from that genre only, please...

You like the music you claim because it's what you've heard.  There are plenty of awesome metal bands out there.  Plenty of awesome punk bands.  Plenty of awesome...well, you get the picture.  Basically, it's like this: why would you eat Hershey's when there's Godiva chocolate out there for less?  Most of the really good bands out there put out cheaper CDs than the major label MTV-featured artists, and their concerts are significantly cheaper.  Plus, they're just simply better musically.  There is no reason to listen to Green Day when there's Jawbreaker out there.  No reason to listen to Nine Inch Nails when there's Skinny Puppy.  No reason to listen to Slipknot when there's actually decent metal out there.  No reason to listen to ICP when razor blades cost only $1.99 at your local convenience store.

Most bands on MTV are watered down and accessible, but not particularly good.  That's not to say all bands that get national recognition or are on major labels are filth.  But most bands that get such widespread press are generally the equivalent to drinking Budweiser and calling yourself a beer connisseur.

We're simply saying that there's better shit out there.  MUCH better shit out there.  You're acting like a music snob, but the bands you like are the kind of music that people generally listen to when they don't have the interest to actually invest their time into finding something that's actually GOOD.  Being proud of liking the shit you're fed on ClearChannel either signifies that you have a very immature musical taste due to very little exposure to anything that's not on the radio, or it means you're a Hot Topic trendwhore.  I should have probably assumed the first and given you the benefit of the doubt, but I can't pass up the opportunity to diss on Hot Topic.

sp2, you don't get it, do you? I listen to the music I like because it makes me happy. There's plenty reason to listen to it, because it brings me joy. It makes me feel like I'm not just a stupid bitch out to hurt everyone and everything I can lay my hands on (even though that is true).

Bands like My Chemical Romance and the Used make me feel like I'm not in this all alone.

Bands like Green Day and SlipKnot make me want to "run around giggling and high fiving everything".

Bands like...erm, well you get the gist of it.

I invest my time in looking for bands that MTV hasn't/hadn't gotten their grimy claws on. Dope Stars Inc., tFDQFP13, Skinny Puppy, !!!, West Indie Girl...the list goes on and on.

So screw you man, and stop being a dick about what kind of music I like.
