Holy shit guys, I read this a decade ago and it's still one of only two series I've read from beginning to end (the other being Ex Machina). Anyone else excited about this?

Interesting that both protagonists powers are in their voice.

I just saw the premiere.  I haven't read the comic in so long that my memory is a bit hazy, so I'm less inclined to nit-pick at the differences.  I did quite enjoy it, as both the pacing and casting were spot-on.

(click to show/hide)Obviously the language had to be toned-down quite a bit.  The violence is there, with a few hilarious antics from Cassidy especially.  The episode basically introduced the main cast, got them in the same place with Genesis being this "thing" exploding a number of religious people over the world until the end.

Agreed, it's been over a decade since I read it. Liked the pilot, interested to see where it goes. Have they still not cast the Saint yet?

According to wikipedia, they have.  Also interesting on how much of the cast is British.

Blue Kitty:
Finally watched it last night and it was ok. It didn't wow me or anything but it wasn't bad. So far it seems like they are straying away from the story in the comic, which is both good and bad. That said, I still don't like that Seth Rogan is involved with this, and having to watch that awful commercial for that new movie he's making really dragged it down for me.
