Since Emily is of Japanese descent, she may well have only had tea at home. Though come to think of it, when she and her parents had a meal together, they seem to be eating Western-style food with knives & forks.

Man, this forum shows how much I miss. I honestly didn't notice the lips or the removal of them until people mentioned them here.
