Seasonal Greetings
celticgeek:
Among other gifts that I received was a Raspberry Pi Kit, and a T-shirt reading "I'm gonna have to science the shit out of this", which I figure is an appropriate T-shirt to wear while working with the Raspberry Pi kit.
Also received a set of Glencairn tasting glasses, with my initial on them.
Skewbrow:
Necroing the year old thread to wish you all a very, merry Christmas!
This year's highlights for me (so far) include:
* Brought in the Christmas tree a week early. The local free brigadiers sell some on the weekend before Xmas, so this time it was a bit earlier than usual.
* On the 22nd, riding my bike home from work I was treated to a light show of an array of these in place of the usual street lights. Courtesy of the local chapter of farmer's union. Jätkänkynttilä would literally translate to "a lumberjack's candle" - a slowly burning fire on a dried up log (see the link for pics).
* Today I did my godfatherly duty as a Santa to two brothers aged 4 and 2 respectively. Not all of you get a chance, because in some parts the Xmas gifts magically appear overnight. Here they are customarily delivered by an actual Santa on Christmas Eve (we live closer to Santa's starting point) :-)
Akima:
圣诞节快乐! Merry Christmas!
Method of Madness:
Happy Hanukkah!
pwhodges:
I might have used this before; but have some kittens and music.
Happy Xmas, and a Merry New Year to you all!
