WCDT Strips 3126 - 3130 (4th to 8th January 2016)
Omega Entity:
Here in Michigan, our winter's been extremely mild so far, actually - we've barely dipped below 32F all winter. Which, when you compare it to last year and the year before's -10F and sometimes, -20Fs, is a nice change.
Hell, we had near-70F weather in late November. Craziness.

Dora's hair must grow extremely fast, then. My grows faster than average and it would take me about six months to grow it that long.

When I read about winter temperatures in the northern USA I shudder. I would be a little ball of polar gear (including a face-mask) as I rode to work on my tauntaun. Actually I commute on a bicycle (much less smelly, but you can't cut it open and stuff a friend inside), and while there are solutions to cycling in freezing weather, I'm glad I don't have to.

What, just because it's currently 9°F here in Massachusetts? (That's -13°C, for those of you used to a rational temperature scale.) No big deal. Could be worse. Could be snowing.
Looks like we went from late September/early October to some time in January or February, at a guess. Probably early January since Claire is still complaining about how cold it is - later than that we kind of get used to it and stop talking about it unless there's a really extreme arctic blast.
BenRG:
We've definitely skipped ahead long enough to miss some fairly big events. None of them had to be shown unless there was some particular drama. Like others, I'm hoping that we didn't miss any cute declarations, though! FWIW, I'm sticking with three to six months, making the current strips no later than January or February, based on the Massachusetts winter clothing.
Has Claire moved in with Marten? Maybe; if she has, I'll expect Jeph to specifically say so at some point soon.
She's definitely been made a TA, though, which confirms, in my view, that she's in final year. I wonder how she feels about all the undergraduate students who are doing Bachelor of Library Sciences as an 'easy, no work' degree to let themselves slack off at college?
For the record, I, personally, am repulsed by those ear-stretching things.
neurocase:
I really hope those aren't plugs. I'll get over it of course, but christ there is no uglier body modification.
