TheRedMaiden:
Man, I was loving Faye's hair progression in these panels until she got the under-shave. :(

That makes it, what, Clinton, Tai, and now Faye? Ugh. The undercut is about as much of a repellent to me as a man bun (Looking at you, Sven). If she was gonna shave her hair at all she should have committed to a full shave. Would have looked better.

Did we just have a major Time Jump in the last two Panels????!!!!

Tomorrow we learn that Marten and Claire are going to kindergarten to pick up the triplets.  Sam's younger siblings, that is.

Later this week, Sam stops by her Aunt Sam's place to play video games after Marigold's sudden departure.  Everyone always comments that Marten and Claire's oldest daughter and Marten's stepsister look so much alike, but they usually just chalk it up to one of the many weird-but-harmless genetic engineering pranks Hannelore played on her friends after she took over her parents' businesses but before she tried to take over the world.

Later everyone visits Steve's grave.  Well, monument.  Well, national memorial.  The US Government never admitted that Steve was working for them in any way, but he did save the planet (twice), so.

It's been nineteen years.  Faye's scar doesn't hurt anymore.  All is well.

BenRG:
I find panels 2 and 5 particularly interesting. These aren't fight-related injuries; the robots are coming to her for other maladies too! Additionally, panels 1 and 6 show that's she's becoming more skilled with complex stuff like fixing synthetic pseudo-musculature. She isn't just the bodywork gal anymore, she's becoming 'Dr Faye - Robo-Medicine Woman'!

I'm wondering if Jeph is giving us a clue about her ultimate destiny here. Will she go mainstream and start caring for the area's robot denizens in a more open and fully-legal way? It occurs to me that Marigold could help out in such an enterprise as the software expert!

The jury's out about the hairdo; I'll have to see if I can get used to it but, on first viewing, I'm not a fan.

I agree with those who are saying that this is following Faye from her last shown conversation with Bubbles to the strip's 'present', which began with Dora expressing her satisfaction with Emily's job performance. I have settled on six months, so it's probably early- to mid-March

Timemaster:
I´m not a fan of undercuts either, but I think it fits Fayes personality. She´s got that hardboiled badass-engineer appeal to her, rather Zoe Wash than Kaylee, if you know Joss Whedons Firefly.

About the hair growth: hair seems to grow quite fast in the QC-verse. Dora and now Faye.
Or maybe the timejump ist one and a half years instead of only a half...
Anyway, I cant´t wait so see what time has done to the other characters. Maybe Hanners has grown longer hair, too?
