That wasn't typing. She has a ECCommunications 'Cyberpunk' direct brainwave reader implant. Most of the cool kids do these days! It lets her text whilst welding!

P.S.:
Is this the first time that we've seen Faye coming home seriously exhausted, emotionally as well as physically, after a day at work? I'm thinking that, after the relatively easy life at Coffee of Doom (apart from the occasional idiot customer), this is Faye's first real experience with having a job that demands a lot of personal energy to do and to keep! I wonder how this will affect her perception of the world and of her lifestyle?
