Wait, what? I know how to spell medieval, but I've never heard it not pronounced "mid-evil". I get spelling it like that, to show that it's what she thinks the word is, but how is it being pronounced wrong?

Everyone I know over here in the UK pronounces it 'med-ee-ee-vall'.

But I wonder if there are such things - isn't that the reason Hanalore took a sapble of Marten's blood?

Or possibly too few. Med-ee-eee-val gives the feel of them both being long ee, but one being longer than the other. Mind you it probably depends on where in Britain you come from anyway. So many vowel sounds, so few letters...
