Pop-up adds

Litch:
So I started getting pop-up ads from "Segura Viudas" (some sort of sparking wine I think) today when I checked the comic. :-(

I thought jeph didn't let advertisers use pop-up ads, I don't recall ever having to deal with one before, did something change?

You need to ask Jeph - his email address is on the contacts page of the comic site, or you could try Twitter or Tumblr; he may not answer, but still claims to read every email.

We here have essentially no contact with him, even though he provides the forum.

Kugai:
If you haven't got one installed, i suggest you get a  Pop-up Blocker Add-on  on your Browser if you want to knock that on its head.

He does pretty well with Tweets to him. A while back, there was this Russian bridal service that was part of the ad network he uses. Akima noticed that she was getting it frequently, as was I. I dropped him a tweet about it, and AFAICT, they've been dropped.

There's another lovely add-on called Ghostery that I'll recommend. It blocks third-party web trackers.
