Y'know, the phrase "I'd buy that for a dollar!" has to be probably the best marketing slogan ever conceived and I'm glad it's from a movie so its effectiveness is mitigated by association. Why? Because it completely encompasses the idea that whatever it is attached to is such extreme good value that not purchasing it is tantamount to insanity, without even coming close to actually mentioning the price. Indeed it's so efficient that even people who've seen the movie multiple times forget that not one of the items advertised that way were priced anything close to a dollar…
